Default Question about Firmware Update

How long does it usually take? I put it in about fifty minutes ago, also I didn't press play because when I loaded it the player read the disc and its giving me a reading signal.

I've about had it with loading in firmware updates. I especially HATE any Fox titles and there bs copy protection. Their movies are a complete pain in the ass. I'm seriously considering HD-DVD as that copy protection isn't as extreme as blu ray.

What does the manufacturer suggest regarding the upgrade procedure?
If it has taken this long, I don't think the upgrade has happened at all.
Could be a bad burned disk, corrupted download, etc.

I don't have much help but just wanted to add....I had the LG BH100.....for a week !!! Sold that baby on Ebay as fast as I could. I had nothing but problems with it, every movie I played was freezing, locking up, etc. I even did the latest FW update....
Good luck with everything

I hate to tell you, but the BH100 is one the worse players out there in terms of playback. My pops had one and had issues with it from day one. I don't know how long you've had it but my advice is to return it and get separate players for your Blu-rays and HD DVDs, you'll be a lot happier.

How about getting a new player instead of keeping your BDP-1000(reading your other post). It was buggy when it first came out and it's still buggy. Try a Panasonic, you'll love it. I've had the chance to test drive one and it will be my next player!!!!

It's not Fox's copy protection. It's the use of Java.
