Default Helluva time finding a nice piece of furniture.

G'day all,

I'm trying to find a crafted piece of furniture for an A/V stand that will accommodate a 60" SXRD to be replace in the near future with a plasma and my center channel and a few 4.5" high components such as power conditioners, BD and SACD transports. The real challenge is the center, Paradigm CC-690, which is:

Height, Width, Depth - 9-7/16 in x 36 in x 15-9/16 in
Weight - 31.3 kg / 69 lb each

I'm looking for something that is made of a good amount of wood. Anyone have some luck?

If your pretty handy, just build your own. Thats what I did. I post the pictures on the Home Theater thread. Post number 431 & 432. I nolonger have the PS3 in the hidden part and I connected the rest of my equipment so its more full now.

That is gorgeous but I am the opposite of handy and dangerous to the community when near power tools. I'll probably end up adapting something from BDI or get someone with your skill to craft it. My new A/V room has a library look and feel which I'm trying my best to preserve.

Thanks for the compliment. That was the first piece of furniture I've ever built. If I never tried it, I would have never known I could do it. I will probably build more furniture for my house in the future. My wife wants me to make a book shelf which is fine by me...it will free up more space for Blu-rays on my entertainment center.

LOL on the home page all you can see is "Helluva time finding a nice piece"

All I could think of was "of ass." LOL, couldn't help myself.

Someone linked this in another thread on this site... I checked them out and I am very impressed. I'll be ordering one for my bedroom once we're done painting, which I'm planning to do this spring.

Good furniture is an investment.
