The Blade Runner disc(s) create a vibrating sound when I put it in my PS3 with it laying horizontal. When I positioned the PS3 vertical, it stopped. Anyone else experience this with Blade Runner or any other movie? Both the Final Cut and theatrical discs do it. I didn't try any of the others. No other movies ever did this for me.

I read on another post (link below) that there were complaints that the discs had "rough edges" did yours feel that way too?

Played mine in the PS3 yesterday and no vibes, but I do not have any signs of rough edges. Mine sits horizontally.

I've had the 60 GB PS3 since it first dropped price in the summer, basically have had no real problems or signs of problems. I always left the controller plugged in the PS3 and it stopped working until I was told I should just use it wirelessly. Maybe it is a sign of a problem though that when I put in cd-r's, seeing what the new DIVX would play, it did take a while for the PS3 to read some of them and it made a little bit of a noise. That happened for the first time yesterday. Anyway I'm hoping to get Blade Runner for Christmas if not, I'll buy it, I want to keep my PS3 as close to new as possible, and don't like things that look like could become a problem. Oh yeah, I lay my PS3 down horizontally.

All the BD's in my set have rougher edges (not smooth like the rest of my 120+ BDs) and when the disc is spinning in the PS3 I can hear a low hum (and the PS3 is vibrating when I touch it)...
Warner is making it very difficult to want to support them with all these mix ups lately -- Harry Potter disc switches, T3 being 1080i and Blade runner having the 5th disc not be the right disc and clearly a weird production batch here and there (which seems to be working fine, outside of the discs not being perfectly weighted causing the PS3 to vibrate -- I can't imagine it's good for the motor). |
