Hi Guys,
I know this is a very trivial topic but I have noticed discrepancies from the classification of some of my 4k movies I have purchased from the U.S.A. For Example the MPAA rating for LONE Survivor on 4K, is R - Restricted on the slip cover but on the disc itself has the BBFC (British Board of Classification) of 15 (suitable for only over 15 years of age), but the 4k movie is purchased from the U.S.A. Looking at other 4k discs associated with their slip covers or artwork, there is other discrepancies. Another example is the recent release 3-movie collection of predator, purchased in America, has the R classification on the box artwork by the MPAA but the disc has the MA-15 (Mature Accompanied) from Australia inserted. I know that 4K disc are all region free but I was very curious of such little and possible trivial changes, as I know the BBFC and the Australian Classification Board all delete certain scenes from movies, where in the U.S.A. they tend to produce the movie, in general, with no cuts, which concerned me that I was purchasing discs from other countries rather than America. Any thoughts on this silly topic? ![]() |
