2020 was a crazy year filled with some amazing catalogue titles. 3 of my most wanted titles were announced this year, along with some others that I kinda wanted as well. Paramount is my winner for Blu-ray this year, and Sony my winner for 4K.
The most surprising was a release of Thomas and the Magic Railroad, which I never thought would happen, and it also included an hour of deleted scenes, the likes of which I definitely thought impossible. Also, Imprint and Paramount Presents have been a real treat. What about everyone else? |

If I can only choose one, then it's Warner's CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN with a 4K remaster, 2 disc set! I really thought that would be stuck in limbo for an even longer time.

I thought Paramount starting up releasing again would be it...then Warner Archive released the restored Mystery of the Wax Museum which finally resolved the awful color issues of the dvd. I thought that film would never be fixed.
Then came the 4k scan of the woefully neglected Libeled Lady...and now Shop Around the Corner and Curse of Frankenstein. WAC wins again. |
