Default T3- Was alright with me

I heard some discs were only in 1080i, but my copy displayed 1080p...or was I looking at something wrong?
Sure looked like great PQ to me. My question is, were all the T3 discs affected, or just some of them?

That's what I am wondering as well.
Played it on the PS3... how do I check if its 1080p or 1080i ?

I mean our Sony RPTV only does 1080i right now anyways, but I want to upgrade at some point and then not be stuck with a faulty disc!

It shows playing at 1080p, when I play the T3 disc.

Sony 500 & Sony XBR4 (40').

My disc appears to be playing fine, and at 1080p. My question is, maybe not all discs were affected.???

Yes.
I went, reloaded the disc and checked again. The display clearly shows 1080p while movie is playing. It doesn't show "24", but I have my TV set-up at 24.

I'm confused because I read all the discs were mastered in 1080i, but the disc I bought from Amazon (on 12/17) clearly displays 1080p when I play the movie. I believe the display is accurate, judging from other discs/tv shows...that show higher/lower resolution.
So did Warner ship some discs master in 1080p, some in 1080i, is their a coding/flag error with some players? I'm just curious.
The PQ looks great to me, I was quite pleased. But then I read about the exhange program,..so that's why I'm confused.
Not a complaint on my part, I know I can exhange it, if it was mastered in 1080i, but my display clearly shows 1080p.

Is it possible, not ALL T3 discs were encoded in 1080i? Does this have to with any firmware updates, whether they are installed..or not?
I've checked several times now, and my display clearly reads 1080p while the movie is playing. Yet, I keep seeing messages that suggest all the discs were 1080i?

So I have this question; Does the monitor show the actual encoding from the source? (720p for HDTV..1080i...and 1080p for BDs) Or, doe the monitor simply show what I've set the TV and/or player to, regardless of the actual source?
IOW, if I have the player/monitor set to 1080p/24...will it show that..even if the disc is in 1080i?

Could be your Sony player is converting 1080i to 1080p internally.
