Preordering from Amazon - Blu-ray Forum

I got a question about Amazon's preorders. Does Amazon ship the movie on the day of the realease or do they ship it earlier so you could get it on or close to the release date? Any good preordering experiences elsewhere?

They usually ship a day early in my experience.

When I pre-ordered Sunshine and 3:10 To Yuma, they didn't ship it till the day after.

I think it depends on the type of shipping you choose. My experience is that with free shipping you'll get what you ordered about a week after the release date.

They either ship on the release date or 1 day earlier.

They ussually ship the day before but it's not a guarantee. Cris ordered once from them a new release and it was about 6 years ago. Now we just get our new releases from BB.

Does BB do release date specials like they do on DVDs?
