Default Noobie Question...

Hi peeps.

Sorry if this has been covered before but I am close to entering the world of surround sound and have a question.

Come end of the month I will have a PS3, Panasonic TV, Onkyo 605 and an LG surround system.

How do I cable it all up to that I can have surround on everything or can I only have surround sound on certain things...

If I have the hdmi cable going from thr PS3 to the receiver, how do I get the video? Same for everything else, I dont know where to start.

Do all HDMI's go into the back of the receiver?

Thanks for any advice.

Default should be pretty simple

You should have multiple HDMI in to your reciever and then one out so you can run HDMI from your reciever out to your TV. Your reciever will then switch the video signal for you to your TV. If you run out of inputs to your reciever then you may have to run an optical cable for one or more of your components and then HDMI straight to your TV.

Good luck.

So I would have PS3 to Receiver, Speakers to receiver and then receiver to TV. Brilliant. Thanks a million guys! Awesome as per usual.
