Not nearly as bad as reviews made it out to be. For my money, it's better than the two "Transformers" sequels.

I partially agree. I thought it was bad. But... still thought it was better then Transformers and Transformers 2. I haven't watched the 3rd yet. It at least wasn't boring and that's what did me in mostly with the first 2 Transformers movies.

Opinions of this movie aside, I expect the AQ to be reference quality.

ILM did an extraordinary job on the movie. Terrific CGI, especially with all the fire and water effects.

The stigma of being based on the board game really hurt it, but as far as alien invasion movies go, it's not bad at all. Some nipping and tucking in the dialogue, and maybe recast Brooklyn Decker's character (god she's an awful actress), and it would've helped the quality even more.

I really liked this too....even my gf who really doesn't like alien invasion movies ("they're stupid!" and then points out a mac based virus for ID4...end of debate) had a fun time and asked when we'll get the blu-ray. Funny, how it was a difficult sell to get her there despite being a geek too.

Better title for this one would be Cattlechip, big pass on this one.

I was surprised by how much I liked Battleship. Definitely better than the Transformers movies.

It's too bad that both of Taylor Kitsch's big movies this year bombed. I thought he was quite likeable and charismatic in both movies. He's much better than the other action stars that have been forced on us in recent years (such as Shia LaBeouf and Sam Worthington).

Yeah, he better be careful...two massive bombs in one year, ouch!

The ultimate definition of good, dumb fun. Quite enjoyed this and will be buying. Hopefully we get an exclusive somewhere down the road.

How dumb? People say Transformers is 'dumb' but it had a plot, it was paced well and worked for me...

(FWIW Ghost Rider is way far off into my too dumb to ever buy or watch again category).

If it is it at least on the same level of Transformers I'll pick it up.

I'm glad to hear it's better than the reviews because just on the first preview, I thought it was another Transformers movie haha. I really wanna see it

These tentpole "Sci-Fi" movies are always hit or miss with me. I'm going to netflix this one before I buy - also not the biggest fan of Rhiana.
