Default Dario Argento's Suspiria - new release

https://www.amazon.it/Suspiria-Versi...spiria+blu-ray

^ Is this the new TLE Films 4K mastered version? Release date: 22nd February. Am curious as to whether it will have English audio and optional subtitles. Thoughts?

No English = no sale. Shame. A definitive release needs an English surround track. If this is the new 4K master, hopefully it will also have a release in other region B territories.

Edit: Would be nice if Arrow could release it in the UK.

first comments from hard forumers here in italy after cinema's projections of 4k remaster: very very very good PQ with finally correct grading and gamma and also good AQ (italian, of course)... before beginning of the movie a short Argento's introduction about the goodness of the restoration... so can't wait for BD release at the end of february... i'll give update on audio set and subtitles as long as i have infos about it.

Based on some of my own research and the comments of restoration experts, the closest we've had to the original color timing prior to this restoration is the Anchor Bay DVD. With what little footage/screenshots I've seen from the Kaiser restoration, it appears to match up nicely with said DVD and it is said that it was matched to the answer print as close as possible.

What's interesting is that the images released so far of Synapse's effort don't have much in common with the DVD or the new Kaiser restoration, which leads me to wonder what they are using as reference?

Amazon.it added the back cover. Italian/English mono PCM, Italian/English DTS-HD MA 5.1, Italian/English subtitles.

Same here.

Hopefully it won't have forced Italian subtitles during the English tracks.

I just noticed the same VIDEA logo can be found on both the restoration frames provided by Torsten and the Eagles Picture upcoming Blu-ray cover on Amazon.it. Well, that could be a sign.

I was just about to post the same thing. Plus the last two words at the top of the cover ("Versione Restaurata") translate to something like "Restored Version".

"Restored Version" doesn't mean a thing, you know.

Pre-ordered this yesterday. Really happy to hear that they have finally solved the PQ issues that affected the previous Blu-ray releases but really hoping they don't used the botched audio mix from the AB DVD (and later releases) and the 5.1 audio is mixed from the 4-track stereo ( I can finally retire my custom DVD with Laserdisc PCM audio lol)

Well, I just ordered it. Am hoping that someone who commented in the review section is wrong, as he claims he watched a theatrical screening of the restored print two weeks ago, where he said....

"Please stay away [if it's the same version]. The opening credits and closing credits are not the originals. To say the least the sound was painful - mono, low/poor quality, seems to sound VHS."

Oh shit...

On paper i have more faith in the eventual Synapse release, but for the price its worth the gamble, if it was more i'd wait for the eventual critique.

By originals, was he referring to Italian credits because according to this post, the english titles were restored from a 35mm print
