Interesting, coming from Lionsgate hopefully the transfer will be a vast improvement over the PD sourced releases. If they're putting it out, it must mean they have the negative, or at least an interpositive, to work off of.

I believe Coppola was recently involved in a 4k restoration of the film, so hopefully this is that in disc form.

It’s a longer cut as well, which has been copyrighted.

There are also 4K restorations of The Rain People and The Outsiders. The latter premiered at Cannes Classics earlier this summer

I've heard of it but never seen it. Will def be picking it up. This is actually an exciting release to me. Reminds me of when Vestron announced Gothic which no one saw coming.

I would much rather get titles like this than something like Earth Girls Are Easy, which people are speculating is on the way.

Also, Sept will be the third straight month with a Vestron release, which is unprecedented.

Hopefully a new copyright will deter the PD vultures (one can hope!)

It's kind of cool that Coppola supervised all of these restorations but also kind of sad because it makes it feel he's getting ready to leave us....

Just saw the film on Fandor a couple nights ago, was not particularly impressed. Glad to see Vestron continue this line of great budget-priced, excellent releases though.
