Lightbulb Immortals Fenyx Rising

Immortals Fenyx Rising from Ubisoft will be available for PS5, and PS4.

Best Buy has the PS5 version, which releases December 3, 2020, for 59.99. Ubisoft, thank you for starting at that price with their basic game packages.

The game looks interesting, though the trailer has music that seems out of sync with the game IMO.

I'm hoping there's a closer camera view when you aim stuff. I have to watch the gameplay videos now.

Cool, thanks. That's a good summary video.

For the gameplay, when you aim an arrow, the camera zooms into shoulder view range, which is what I wanted to see. This way, when exploring, I can get a close up of the terrain and world as though I'm there. If the camera is too far, that's fine for combat, but not in the sense that I'm part of the game, so it's good to see something to control the camera distance to a degree at times.

Looks like it could be a lot of fun. Obviously on a base level it looks like a very colorful Assassin's Creed game, but it looks different enough to definitely be worthwhile.

Only bad thing is it comes out right after some other big games, so there's really no reason for me to get it right away as I won't be able to play it for a while. Still, I plan on getting it at some point unless it surprises and turns out to be a turd.

I added Immortals Fenyx Rising to my wish list a few days ago.

Only other games this year for me are,

AC Valhalla
Control UE
Spider-Man MM UE
Cyberpunk 2077

2021 should be a good year.

I do like the look of this but don't forget, Ubisoft games end up discounted very quickly. Might be worth holding off for a few months before purchasing.

I would never buy a Ubisoft game for full price when they almost always go on sale within two or three months. Heck this was $10 off already for pre-orders.

If it reviews well I will be checking it out at $35 or less which will probably be spring/summer.

Great minds think alike This gen you've got to be at least 6 months behind to allow game prices to settle / go on sale.

I keep seeing GoT and TLoU2 being reduced on HotUKDeals. Come Christmas they should (hopefully) be bargain bin games

Good points about the pricing of games on your list that aren't immediate must haves. I want to play this game but I already have a lot that I'll be focused on.

So it goes back to what to do when two games you like are released on the same day. When Mad Max released the same day as MGSV, I chose the one that looked more interesting despite wanting to play both. Then by time I completed MGSV, Mad Max was on sale awhile later. It doesn't help that game earn money, but money is limited. The only exception is buying a few games at the start of a new console to test everything out right away.

Watching a video where you have to go on an obstacle course high above the ground, with timed spike platforms, jumps, projectiles, and enemies to watch out for. Looked fun before you get to the main boss of that area.

Customizing your character to any style you prefer is a nice option for this game.

PlayStation 5: Immerse yourself in a beautiful open world and feel the environment like never-before thanks to the Tempest 3D Audio engine and PS5 DualSense haptic feedback. Experience incredibly fast load times thanks to the power of the PS5 console’s ultra-high speed SSD, stunning 4K graphics and smooth action-packed 60 frame per second gameplay. Experience it all in vivid color with High Dynamic Range technology on compatible screens, and if you purchase a PlayStation 4 copy of the game, you’ll be able to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version at no additional cost**.

I can't wait to play this. I've been following it since they first announced it as Gods and Monsters because I'm a big fan of the Greek methodology. Since I had reward points that I needed to use at Bestbuy and couldn't get a PS5 preorder I figured why not and got the PS4 version. Between this and Cyberpunk I'll be good to go till I'm able to snag a PS5 sometime early next year. Hopefully.

This is on my radar.

AC looked promising until I saw it is a re-skin of Origins/Odyssey even with the main protagonist of Odyssey Kassandra being a quest giver in Valhalla.

Watch Dogs is meh

I’ll keep an eye out on Far Cry 6. I really enjoyed the last one.

This game is sounding more and more legit:

A tip for anyone who doesn't know, if you order Ubisoft games direct off their store, you can get 20% off anything if you spend 100 of your earned units from completing achievements in earlier games.

I am excited for this but like I've said many times before, Ubisoft games drop in price very quickly.

Fenyx looks like a good open world adventure game. The gliding aspect looks like fun as with other games. I'll get this when it's 19.99 as my plate is going to be full with other games into early 2021.

It's a fair point, there are those of us who are good with playing some stuff on release and not waiting. I'm not one of those with this game, but I'm not going to dissuade others. Practically everything drops down in price eventually, not just Ubisoft.

Oh I agree. Games do eventually drop in price, however Ubisoft titles seem to be the exception and drop the quickest.

Valhalla and this are $49.99 for pre-order. Ubisoft puts their games on sale before they even release now

I like what I am hearing about the game but I stick to what I said before that I am absolutely one of the no way I buy a Ubisoft game near release people. This will be $35 within several months and I’ll have enough to keep my busy during that time.

Technically you could say the same about Cyberpunk, which is $50 from at least a couple of places. Games like that one and Ubisoft titles being that are because of Wal-Mart offering them for cheaper, so Amazon matches accordingly. The only other places you can technically get Ubisoft titles that cheap are from Best Buy if you factor in the $10 reward certificate you get for pre-ordering Assassin's Creed Valhalla. So, basically technically Ubisoft titles are still the usual $60 at most retailers.

I will likely buy this or Assassin's Creed Valhalla at release. The other will wait for a sale. I've liked what I've seen from this for a while now, but I don't have time to play both, so there's no reason for me to get both right away of course.
