Default Sony KDL-40W3000 vs Panasonic TH-42PZ700U

Well I posted in the sticky link up top of this forum about getting a W3000 in 4 days... after reading alot about the 42" Panasonic 42PZ700U I am leading towards the Panasonic except for the part about *7 blinking lights* meaning one of the boards is dead and other issues.

I heard its way under 10% in terms of how many of the models were affected with this power supply type of issue. Can someone shed some light on this searching on AVSFORUM shows so many links and dead ends on the issue that its hard to discern anything.

And then I read about "clouding" issues on the KDL sets I don't know what to do I'd really like the better black levels of the plasma plus my tv room is dimly lit with hardly any glare any time of the day.

Thanks
