Default Good day everyone

I've been reading these forums since the day i got my first Blu-ray just to be informed on new arrivals or to keep up with the technology. I have been delighted with your smart posts and pleasent answers to many questions so i decided to make a post, sorry if i'm taking precious blu-ray space :-)

Quick story!

Bought my girlfriend a PS3 and decided to get one for myself as well. Was not too impressed with the games so i decided to use it to watch blu-rays (which i did not own any of) I bought Spider man 3 and immediately fell in love with the quality, but I knew my TV was not worthy of this new blessing so I bought a new one: 40" Samsung LCD 120 hz 1080p. Ever since that day I have not gone back to DVDs, i have begun to replace my entire DVD collection with Blu-rays and look forward to this technology taking over. Now i wait for the new sound receivers to come out that can output true HD sound and my dreams will be complete.

sorry about the long post again just wanted to share my delight :-D

Congrats and welcome to the site. I'm hoping to upgrade to 120hz set sometime soon myself.

Do a search on here for the thread which tells you all the receivers which will allow for the 1080/24p signal to pass through. The last thing you want is a receiver which lets you listen to the lossless audio but at the expense of fully utilizing the 120Hz.

Welcome to the forum (even if I'm not a big poster myself)
I think PS3 games are becoming better every month and I hope you'll find some to your taste soon, but buying Blu-ray movies is more important at the time. I don't know if you have : Potc 1-3, Eragon, Casino royale, Into the blue, Black hawk down, Disney's Dinosaur (one of my favorites), Scary movie 4 (very surprised of the PQ on this one!)
