Default Batman Begins and V for Vendetta set for release in the U.K.

Looking at this site it shows UK releases for 08 and I read in another site they speculate these should get 08 releases in U.S. as well.

Saw a nice 5 minutes clip of Batman Begins on a Blu demo Samsung disc at BB on a 5000 and wow looks like they reencoded it. I took the disk and put it into a PS3 on display has a Blu player and saw bitrates around 35-38 on the highway chase part. Took the disk swapped it with a movie disk and brought it home to demo to other people.

It has been discussed many times over that Batman begins should be coming prior Dark Knight's release in theaters. V and the Matrix will be coming prior the holidays this year.

If there is proof out there of a sooner release date, like a official annoucement then great

I thought I read somewhere that in a few months all Warner titles will be on Blu-ray eventually, was I mistaken?

Blu-Ray will finally be getting all these HD DVD exclusives, thats good. Seriously, Warner should of released these for Blu-Ray during this past holiday season. They would of sold tremondously.

Bill Hunt said in the next week we "could" have some big announcements, from warner, so i would assume a lot of questions would be answered but then again its whenever warner feels like it so lets hope bill is right

We're expecting to hear at least some big title news for the year ahead from Warner next week. So watch The Bits and Blu-ray.com early next week.

Default Probably have to wait a while

It makes more sense to release Batman when The Dark Knight hits blu at the end of this year. Marketing them together saves a ton of advertising $. That's probably the same situation with the Matrix and V for Vendetta. This way they can market them more cheaply. The Wachoski (spelling is probably wrong) brothers (are they still considered brothers?) are releasing Speed Racer for WB this summer. If they put all of their movies on blu at the same time, they can tie the marketing together and save tons of money.

This was posted quite sometime ago. I hope that Warner re-encodes both these titles and puts on BD-50 instead of BD-25. I wasn't too happy with the HD DVD version of BB which prompted me to sell the title. But considering the recent release of T3 I doubt if Warner will re-encode these great titles.
