Tarantino Archives -- Potential new line coming from Sony - Blu-ray Forum

On the most recent episode of Pure Cinema Podcast, Quentin Tarantino mentioned that he's currently in talks with Sony to oversee a Blu-ray line comprised of gems from their catalog selected by QT himself. Tarantino elaborated a bit more saying one of the releases would be 1970's The Lady in the Car with Glasses and a Gun if all goes smoothly!

God, PLEASE let The Gravy Train/The Dion Brothers be releasable. Tarantino loves it, and Sony has never made it available on home video

He’s not fond of commentary tracks. He made exceptions with True Romance and an episode of Spaced, but I can’t see him doing more

I have the French remake from a couple of years ago. I really liked it. It was a badass art film.

I could envision Happy Birthday, Wanda June and When You Comin’ Back, Red Ryder? being a part of this as well. Remember My Name would be phenomenal if it didn’t still have major song clearance problems

My basic ass doesn't recognize any of the title suggestions mentioned here except for Lady in the Car, but this sounds exciting and I hope it happens.

This reminded me of his Rolling Thunder Pictures Presents line he did with Miramax, but presumably this might have some greater potential for title selection and run a bit longer, and his selections might be somewhat less chopsocky than 20 years ago.

Getting Straight seems like another one that’s fairly likely, considering its inclusion on a list of influences on OUATIH.

He did a great commentary track with the director on the Switchblade Sisters DVD.
