Howdy all.
I recently just purchased my 2nd PS3. I got this one as a blu-ray player for my parents, as a aniv. gift. Gotta get them started as another Blu house! Well, I Had it shipped from amazon directly to them. Then, I was expecting to go help them set it all up when I got into town next. So, I show up this weekend, to get it all hooked up only to find my Dad (bless him) had already done so. He said he had a neighbor help him and that "HDMI is easy". Well, all seems good, we went to blockbuster and rented a few. Then I remembered the rebate offer of 5 free movies. I asked where the box was, and of course. They threw it out. I was beside myself, but I didn't want to show it as I didn't want them to feel bad. ![]() Any advice out there on what I can do? would you think they would accept a photocopy of the UPC? I can probably find one someplace. *sigh. I hate to miss out on those great movies. I have a valid recept, but no UPC as the rebate requires. Any help or suggestion would be apreciated. |

You could just get him a movie or two as well or loan him some of yours

Yes, I think your right. it does require the original UPC.
but, alas, I do not have it as it was tossed. I don't suppose anyone out there has their UPC still on their box they might be willing to part with? |

I had a similar problem a few months ago.
Sombody here on the forums was nice enough to cut off their UPC and mail it to me, perhaps you can find sombody else to do the same. I assume you had the 60g PS3. Your recipt needs to match the correct UPC. If you got the new 80gig then you will need the 80gig PS3, but I bet most people who bought that (as it is new) will send in their UPC for this rebate. Good Luck |

Hahaha, "Lost" your UPC my ass. You mean you want to scam someone out of their free movies so you can sell 5 more on ebay to make a quick buck. "Bless him", I bet he would disown you if he knew what you were doing.
