For early CinemaScope films (1953-early 1957) Fox required all films, in-house or from other studios, to have a native four-track stereo mix. For many of these modern presentations, the four track mixes are presented in 5.1 containers for compatibility/easier to decode. I no longer own the film but I do know that titles such as “Violet Saturday” and “Peyton Place” have L, C, R and mono surround in their “5.1” tracks with no LFE.
