Default Wow im pissed now.

I just wasted all this time playing Ratchet and Clank to where I only needed a few more things to be 100% done with it and on the final level of my challenge mode run through the game freezes when the ship is approaching the planet. I wait like 10 minutes nothing happens. I take the disc out and put it back in and still nothing happens.... I have NO other option but to turn the ps3 off and then turn it back on...

I go to load up my game...and guess what... NO SAVED DATA... my entire save file now says "corrupted". WOW....

Is there ANYWAY to fix this?

Im VERY pissed off right now.

I had my younger cousin playing San Andreas when I was at 97% complete just after I had completed the Chiliad challenges and the NRG challenge... and he overwrites my savegame.

I had a backup at about 91%, but had to repeat hands down the hardest missions of the game... I wasn't too happy.

I recall experiencing a similar corrupted R&C save back when I first started the game - I was a few hours in and the PS3 froze during travel, much as you described. Came back to find the save file corrupt. I started over, but made sure to keep a few save files handy, overwriting them in round-robin order.

Anyways, I can check my saves... I might have an older one in which very few skill points are completed, yet I am on challenge mode with all weapons at V5 and have probably gotten the Ryno already.

The skill points I can understand you not wanting to be given credit for, but at the same time, aren't too bad to redo. Good thing you hadn't completed Everybody Dance Now - that challenge is maddening.

one of the nice things about ps3 is that you can back up your saved games on flash drives. i suggest doing that in the future.

This is retarded. Sigh... no way am I going to play through the game ANOTHER 3 times. Its a good game and all but this just soured me on the whole thing. It had been giving me problems here and there along the way too. I should have known better.

If I get a game save file from the internet and put iton the PS3 would it be "copyright protected" or whatnot? In other words if there were trophies coming out for the game would me getting a save file off the internet not allow me to have them?

Sigh.....

The same thing happened to me when i was playing Zelda Twilight Princess. My girlfriend came home and i decided to save my game in the cannon to the sky level, apparently you cant save in that room and my whole save of 48 hours was gone. Had to play from the beginning.

i was 81% of the way through GT3, when my brother started a new game and overwrote my saved game with his brand new game.

That one was the worst because its not like a computer glitch that corrupted your data, it could have been prevented very easily.

Some game saves are copy-protected and some aren't AFAIK. Not sure about R&C .. I think if you create a game save .. and then see if you can copy it to usb or memory card. If you can then it's likely not copy-protected and there is probably something you can download.

I dont get how this could have happened.

I think that was part of the problem. The game (possibly something wrong with the disc) has been giving me minor problems here and there since I got it from Gamefly. I had been able to get around them one way or another and move forward. This time it didnt want anything to do with being fixed and because it froze up on the scene where the ship lands on a planet (which it auto saves during) Im assuming it was saving when it froze. I didnt have any choice but to hard reset the PS3 if I ever wanted to use it again lol.

I may also have a save file at roughly the same spot, though I'd have to look to be sure.
Yeah I did find those game saves. A couple of them look close. However I dont want to download them if, when it comes down to trophies accomplishments et al, I dont get credit for them. Id just play the game again eventually. Thats why I wanted to know if they were "copyrighted" or whatever it would be that would stop me from getting credit.

Also here is exactly where I was:

Challenge Mode, Froze while going BACK to Fastoon (last level). Golden Groovitron, All Skills points except the 1 on Fastoon, the up your arsenal one, the challenge mode complete one, the hardcore one, and the everybody dance now one. All guns maxed up on puchased upgrades. All holo plans, all gold bolts, clanks secret code found. All items, devices, gadgets, weapons fond/received. Ryno IV EVER VX, 5 Omega weapons at various levels and the rest of the weapons at level 3-4 and I was building them up.

Theres a couple of those game saves up there that are CLOSE...but I dont want to CHEAT. I just want what is rightfully mine lol.

Yeah there are game saves (like posted above) on the internet.... I am just wondering about compatibility with future trophy things. Yes I know thats petty lol.
