Default Top Blu-ray PQ, SQ or Movie Extras instead?

From patrick99: "My great concern is that Sony has apparently made the decision that bitrates in the 20's produce sufficiently acceptable PQ that they have enough space to put over 90 minutes of high def extras on the same disc with a two hour movie in the case of Across the Universe. I would much rather have no special features and bitrates in the mid 30's on the movie itself. I am quite sure that this movie could have looked much better with bitrates in the mid 30's rather than bitrates in the mid 20's or lower."

This brings up a good question for all of us: On a given title release with only one disk, given the choice, would you prefere Extras to the point where it sacrifices top PQ, SQ or would you rather have top of the line, full PQ and SQ capability? Thanks patrick99.

I'd rather have PQ/SQ over extra any day.

Honestly I rarely look at extras more then once.

Extras are a talking point of the losing side. Give me quality over gimmicks any day!

I'd rather have better PQ. That's why most people buy Blu-ray in the first place. Why do you think all the DUDers complain when there's no extras, because they don't care about quality.
