my favorite thing about blu

when i first bought my blu i thought new stuff would look great, but old movies would still look dated, man was i wrong, i think they benefit the most
i love how good old movies look on blu, they look like they were just made, fifth element was the first one that made me sit back and just think "damn!" im gonna have to add some more classics to the collection

Film resolution is much higher than 1080p. No matter how old the film, 1980s or 1930s, Blu-ray will outshine DVD in every way.

for me its 3 things: sound, sound and sound PQ is great but IMO sound is 60% of the experience, I'll never understand why people dont spend more $$ on receiver/speakers with blu

The same reason people listen to MP3 files, it is cheap and easy. I am with you the sound can make or brake a movie.
