Been getting OTA HD channels for over 4 years now. Why pay cable for what is free? With the right antenna in the right location your picture is perfect at least 98% of the time.
Check out Amazon for the Zenith Silver Sensor. If that doesn't work, you are just in a bad location for OTA channels. C'mon 2/17/09... I'm ready to stay up late and watch analog die. ![]() |

I take my HP Hi-Def notebook to my job and watch over the air HDTV through my digital tuner card and antenna. I just have to face the antenna toward the Empire State building here in NYC.

I posted this on a discussion from yesterday but here is a site that shows the HD channels in your area and gives a general direction where to point the antenna.
http://www.antennaweb.org/aw/welcome.aspx I have been receiving my HD channels OTA for 3 years now and I do get a couple of extra weather channels in my area. I use a TERK antenna mounted on the side of the house to pick up the channels. The only downfall for me is I am at the end of the footprint (60miles) from the transmitting antennas so sometimes my Fox HD channel comes in broken/pixelated. When I switched from Directv to Dish Network I now rely on my OTA for FOX HD as it is not available from Dish in my area. |

and my indoor antenna can only receive one HD channel, and the signal is not stable. |

I live in a heavy tree area on mountains in northern Cali. With an antenna I can pick up Fox with artifacts, CBS with drop outs and pretty much nothing else.
