Onkyo TX-SR604 video switching - Blu-ray Forum

I've just gotten an Onkyo TX-SR604. Is it possible to direct output to its HDMI output from the component input on one of the digital sources, say Video 1? Looking at the manual it seems that you can output to HDMI from any digital source on the receiver, but I've gone through the instructions and haven't gotten it working.

Any help to a home theater noob would be appreciated!

its not possible with the 604.

look at page 5 of the user manual...it is only possible on the 674. (as far as older models go)

I see this in the 2- and 3-star rating reviews in Amazon now, too. Shoot. I completely misunderstood the breadth of the switching capabilities (my fault).
