i robot region

just wondering if anyone can hazard a guess as to the chances of the usa release of i robot being region free. as the uk version doesnt arrive till nearly 3 months later.

do studios apply region codes to more newer release, and hopefully dont bother too much about catalogue releases? or are certain studios just really strict on it?

so its fair to say that they not only lock their new titles, but all their catalogue one as well?

i;d love to have a us console, but then it stops you from buyin any if your ever in town in the uk.

i'll wait for some sorta ps3 blu ray region mod, hopefully that isnt too far away, then i can order from usa, but also purchase from uk if i feel like it. best of both worlds!

have you seen the prices in UK shops?

HMV £25-£30 a blu-ray? .. no thanks.

it wont be on-par with internet prices for a good few years either. high street shops in the UK rip you off, and people would be mugs to pay the prices.

even with DVD in its prime, the internet was miles cheaper with better offers.

the sources i get my US blu-rays from on the internet are cheaper, miles bigger selection,.. and i get them within 3 days.

the only main gripe is obviously the PS3 warranty

if i can import from the usa with the region coding then will .I have for most of my titles the only ones that arnt from usa are the fox ones i paid about £17 each for them.
