The PRO-FHD1 has a better picture quality do to better black levels, contrast ratio, and response times. The Pioneer PRO-FHD1 was discontinued and is a 2006 model and is not as good as the 2007 Kuro models. The PRO-FHD1 use to sale for $8,000 and if you can get a new or used one for $2,500 that is a bargain. The PRO-FHD1 was Pioneers very first 1080P Plasma and also the very first full production 1080P Plasma on the market.
** One important thing to remember is this display is a monitor only with no built in tuners, to watch cable TV you need to rent or purchase a external cable box. (Or satellite box needed)**

Here is a review of the Pioneer PRO-FHD1
