605: does unplugging the hdmi affect things in any way?

i was set for the longest time on getting the 705 but have advised against it and i now want the onkyo 605.

i know most of the differences between the two but for me im just looking for the cheapest (yet most reliable) way to receive hd audio. hence the 605..

i just had one question...

i would like to receive the hd audio from my 360, ps3 and hd cable box (hence 3 hdmi ins) and i know the 605 only has 2. so if i were to unplug lets say the hd cable box from the receiver to put in the hdmi for the ps3 and continue switching these time and time again and even switching between all 3 consoles/box, would there be any complications? (for example, maybe i would have to keep adjusting settings for the ps3 everytime i plug it in because i unplugged the hdmi to begin with? or would i start getting lip sync issues because of switching them?)

i would really like to save the extra money in getting the 605 over the 705 and spend it towards my speakers


any help would be appreciated
