I recently moved my components over to a new entertainment center this weekend and realized that I have a digital coaxial connection from my HDTV to my 605 for audio. I unhooked it and tried to see if the HDMI connection (from HDMI IN on the set to HDMI OUT on the receiver) would possibly be two-way and allow for audio, thereby removing the extra connection.
I went through all the menus on the Onk and couldn't find a setting for this. Is this possible? I mean, HDMI is two-way but the connections I have it on are not. I currently still have that coaxial connection, which honestly is good enough since the best audio coming from the TV is only DD 5.1. Is my thinking backwards? Is this possible? |
