Default Stupid MSN Article Rating "Larger" HDTVs

Articles like these are why some people chose HD DVD in the first place.... it ranks a Vizio and an LG ahead of the 52" Sony XBR4... what the hell?

I looked all over the PC World website, and for the life of me I could not find an explanation of these "rigorous PC World Test Center evaluations" they put the sets through.

Hah, apparently the Vizio and LG are better than the Pioneer and Sharp as well. Love those M$ reviewers.

thats just sad. it kind of makes me think there should be limits on the 1st ammendment when people make articles that say vizios are better than the xbr4, kuro, sharp 92u, and pannasnoic plasmas, hell even a regza is better than a vizio.

i hope his email box gets flooded with complaints.

The ratings are based on overall. That includes price. The XBR has the best picture.

Quote:
Sony Bravia KDL-52XBR4 52-inch LCD HDTV
The Sony Bravia KDL-52XBR4 HDTV has a distinctive and attractive cabinet design to match its strong performance. This 52-inch LCD set posted the highest overall image-quality score in its size category. Sony's Bravia KDL-52XBR4 will satisfy videophiles with its natural-looking colors and fine detail reproduction. Fashion-conscious buyers will also like its striking design and replaceable bezel. But less-expensive sets such as the Samsung FP-T5084 and the Vizio GV52LF offer better value.

to be fair the article does not say the VIZIO is "better"...it says for value,performance,features,price...etc it ranks pretty well.

But again, they do not explain what "test center evaluations" are being used.

But they still "ranked" it higher. The Vizio isn't even that cheap. I've seen better Samsungs and Pannys for the $2200 Vizio price they sourced. And where are the rear projectors for the article? Those are large and provide "bang for your buck" so to speak.

I own a Vizio and a Samsung ! The Vizio is a LCD and the Sammy is my 1080p Plasma ! I paid $750 for my Vizio 37" and for my bedroom it is perfect and for the price the picture is great but putting it up to my 50" Sammy there is no comparison and I paid $1900 for my Sammy !
