HDMI cable question for the PS3 - Blu-ray Forum

I tried to search the formus for an answer to this but I couldn't find it. I am looking at possibly getting a PS3 to replace my S300 but I want to know first if I can use my HDMI cable that I am using now with the PS3 or do I have to buy the one Sony makes for it? Thanks in advance.

Yea, if you use an HDMI connection you actually don't need any proprietary cables for connection, even the power cable. That's another thing I really like about the PS3.

Your old one is fine...don't buy Monster cables they are a waste especially with HDMI
