Screen lag on ps3 and lcd, help!

I have a 42" LG 720p with a 60gb ps3 that i JUST got back from sony. i was playing guitar hero and the audio/video lag was horrible, i calibrated it. but when im playing heavenly sword i cant stand the sound lag, her mouth moves almost a full 2 seconds before i hear the audio..how can i fix that since there is no option to calibrate it in game

Its only like that in games though, when i play blu rays it looks perfectly syncd

Maybe it is a fault in your ps3?!

That is weird. Try the PS3 on another TV. Use the same connections. Then, try it with different connections.

Did it happen before or after the update?

Have you confirmed this on some other games as well?

Guitar Hero 3 I would expect lag with... which is why they have a calibrate option to begin with.

From what I remember with Heavenly Sword, it's the game's fault. Some parts of it are synched poorly, while other parts are dead on.

What are you using for sound? Some receivers have an option to offset audio to match HDTV lag. It can depend on how you have your PS3, TV, and receiver hooked up (i.e. does your video signal pass through your receiver or go directly to the TV?)

I don't remember having any sound synch problems with Heavenly Sword.

I just remember playing through parts of the early game and thinking they did a shoddy job with the dubbing, but I don't recall noticing it the whole way through.

Perhaps I've got some video lag as well, but I've never noticed it in any other games.

software related maybe? Some productions of the game are off?


I hate it when the a/v sync is off... SOOOO annoying.


The worst is when you try to watch a movie with already poor dubbing with the a/v sync being way off. That happened to me when I watched Kung Fu Hustle (you know how they exacerbate the kung fu dubbing with the lip sync) from a poor Divx rip - My head almost exploded.
