I Robot and Sony 301 doesn't work help - Blu-ray Forum

When I tried to play I Robot with Will Smith in my Sony BDP 301 I got a message that my player wasn't up to date!!!

This is very strange as Sony told me that I have the most recent firmware updated, any suggestions?

gotta update firmware and I believe the s300 and s301 are pretty much the same unit just one comes with a hdmi cable

I upgraded the firmware Sony suggested I send it back for repair!!!

You mean you successfully updated your S301 with the Version 3.80 firmware and it still wouldn't play I, Robot? That's very strange, if the player plays everything else you got and not I, Robot. Perhaps the BD is defective instead of the player?

I had no problems playing I, Robot in my S301 FW 3.80.
