never been a big gamer, but i'm about to purchase a ps3. is halo3 or doom, available for ps3? what about the, star wars, first person shooter?

Resistance. Army of Two. Call of Duty 4. Pick one. I dont play games, but I did buy Resistance. Great stuff. Supposedly the latter two are superior.

Army of Two isn't superior to Resistance in any way shape or form.

I think thats a no go on Halo 3, and Doom.

I'd rank them as such.

I'm just going by what I've heard, I can only give my opinion on Resistance.

i have owned 4 video games. all ps3. full auto 2, resistance fall of man, rainbow 6 vegas, and warhawk. WARHAWK reigns supreme. go for it. although resistance 2 (not relesed yet) and R6V:2 both look good.

I agree for Army of Two being ranked that low. Anything EA does as far as shooters is weak. COD4 tops Resistance for me though. The chance of everyone here having the same taste in games is slim to none, I say when you get your PS3 download as many demos as you can.

The best advice is to wait for games that come out in November or later?

Just get the PS3. No Halo or Doom, but you get Blu-Ray, you get free online, some GREAT games, even though many are cross platform (ie you could play them on 360)...

Pick up Warhawk online and buy GTA4 for your 3rd persons, and Rainbow6 Las Vegas 2, Haze and Call Of Duty 4 for your 1st persons, and Rockband for your music.

That is at least enough gaming to last you until the big guns come out, Metal Gear Solid 4 (360 has NOTHING like it), and Merc2 this summer...

Outside of Blu-ray and a few other things, if you are into FPS you are going to have to think about; Killzone 2, or Halo 3 and 4. If Doom and Halo 3 are what you are looking for, get a 360... If gaming and movies are what you are looking for, get a PS3.


To me all FPS are the same. Halo, Haze, R6LV, COD4 etc are just skins on the same game. I like to change up things every once in a while... thats why I like PS3.
