Hey. I'm "the new guy"
![]() I intend to stimulate the economy with this magical $600 check I have just received. When I bought my TV, I made the guy throw in a floor model Samsung home theater system for free. Long story short: (1) it doesn't have enough HD inputs (2) it sounds like crap suddenly (3) it's going on ebay (buyer beware) ![]() ![]() SOOOOO, the question is - what can I do to maximize the PS3's surround sound capabilities for $600? Dolby True HD? DTS HD? I assume that these are the best available codecs, and I prefer a 5.1 setup...but beyond that I'm clueless. MY SET-UP Samsung 50" DLP 1080p (model # HL-S5087W) Samsung DVD recorder (model# DVD-R155) Sony PlayStation3 (60gb) Directv HD-DVR basically I want to hook it all up to a receiver using HDMI. What gives me the best performance of blu-ray/PS3 for $600 or less? (more like $550 + tax?) Thanks in advance experts. ![]() |
