"21" on Blu-ray 7/22/08 - Blu-ray Forum

Sony has announced a late-July next-gen bow for the smash '21,' which will hit Blu-ray with bonus features and a BD-Java exclusive.

The sleeper surprise of the Winter season, the Kevin Spacey-Jim Sturgess starrer scored over $90 million at the domestic box. Sony will debut the Blu-ray on July 22, day-and-date with the single-disc and two-disc standard DVD editions.

Bonus features shared between the Blu-ray and two-disc DVD include an audio commentary with director Robert Luketic and cast, plus a trio of featurettes ("21: The Advantage Player," "Basic Strategy: A Complete Film Journal," "Money Plays: A Tour of the Good Life").

Exclusive to the Blu-ray is the interactive game "21: Virtual Blackjack," which is also enhanced with BD-Java.

There are no tech specs yet.

Suggested list price for the Blu-ray has been set at $38.96.

I have yet to see this, so this is a definet rental for me. Anyone else here watch this? What did you think of it?

I saw this in the theater. I liked it quite a bit, even if it did deviate from the book quite a bit. Kate Bosworth has never looked better, and Sturgess continues to impress me after his great turn last year in Across The Universe, Between Kate and the lush colors of the casinos, this one has some real potential for its debut on Blu. I got high hopes!

Saw it at the theater and thought it was pretty good. Will definitely buy it when I can get it from blu-rayboxsets.com for under 20 shipped.

I was very excited until I realized that I misread the title as "24" coming to Blu-ray.

Rent it first if you are considering a blind buy. I love spacey, but for me, it was too long and a bit slow. Not bad, I dont regret spending $7 on it, but I wont own it.

Just me.
