Great forum!
Can anyone suggest a possible good center channel match for my polk R50s. I'm using the R50s for left and right. New Onkyo 605 arrives today. I was looking at the Polk CS1. Thanks a bunch. |

Don't know yet. I have had them for over a year but not used them.
I was waiting to upgrade my receiver before using them. |

Yep, stick with a Polk center, as mentioned, the CS1/2 will do just fine.
If you watch a whole lot of movies, go with the CS2, it will be responsible for upwards of 80% of all of the audio reproduction during a movie. |

Just a heads up, Polk Audio has an "official Ebay" store now, they sell a bunch of refurb stuff at fantastic pricing!

If you want to stick with the same R lineup from Polk, there's the CSR which is around 80 on frys.com. However, since there are a few bargains on the cs1, cs2, and csi3, you'd be probably be better off getting one of those. I was going to get the r50's and the csi3 along with some r150's for surrounds, but I ended up building my own. Either way, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find a deal for at least one of those and you won't be disappointed.

Pulled the trigger on the CS1. $130 shipped from Crutchfield. I get my stuff from them 1-2 days max. Thanks for all the help!

I got the Monitor 50's a week ago off Amazon for $100 a piece shipped. I then moved my R50's to the rears. The Monitors blow the R50' clear out of the water, although bass is better on the R50's, sound clarity on the Monitors are way better. On the side they are bi-ampable also, R50' are not. In short, go with the Monitors.
