Default 50" Pioneer Kuro 720P for $1899

Floor model at Best Buy, how good of a deal is this guys? I found one minor scratch on the right front side of the black gloss frame... Thinking about picking this up even though its 720P..

It is a good deal, but I personally couldn't bring myself to spend almost 2k on a 720p TV.

Under normal circumstances I would agree with you, however from what I've read and been told this tv will about put to shame every 1080P tv out there

Carefully inspect it to make sure it's ok, those Floor Models go through a lot!

But the 5080 is a gorgeous dream for me. Beautiful stuff.

that is an excellent tv and if you sit farther than 7 feet away the human eye can't tell the difference between the two (1080p and 720p)

Pioneer Rules....
Keep in mind a 1080p display screen is but 1 feature of the set...
I have personally compared a Pioneer 768p in a side by side with the Panasonic 65" $8500.00 plasma.
In every display test the Pioneer won hands down....
it simply is a sum of its parts, better video processing, better scaling, just look at the color of the screens with the power off..
Grab it while you can.

Hi! I live in Lex, too!
Are you alluding to the Best Buy on Nicholasville Road or at Hamburg Pavillion?
BTW, great choice in TV! I'd like to get an Elite Kuro next year.

Jodi

theres a reason why its so cheap. the floor models are on as long as the store is open(give or take 12 hours). and they're set at factory settings, they have a lot of wear and tear.

Agreed. However this one has been sitting in the floor for at least 3 weeks now, off of course. Id still say its a pretty good deal.

you really oughta just get it man.

ive had my last year's model 5070 768p pioneer plasma for a year or two now, and every single one of my friends vote unanimously to watch movies at my house because there isnt any other hdtv in our group of friends that even comes close. (we've got a couple panasonic plasmas and sony xbr lcds in the mix too, so its not up against some vizio or magnavox or anything either. haha)

pioneer plasmas dont F around. pick it up. you wont be able to tell a difference between that pio plamsa and any other lcd or plasma at 1080p. they have a floor model 5010 at my best buy for 2,500$ as well.

i was so close.... haha
