Question Quick Amazon Question

Hey everyone. I just ordered my first thing off amazon.
I've been over 50 dollars canadian per movie down here for well over a year now - hence my movie selection being so small (15 movies, 29 games excluding downloads [my signature isnt updated...).

Well, anyway-
I preordered V for Vendetta today!

Shipping Method: Standard International Shipping
Shipping Preference: Group my items into as few shipments as possible
Subtotal of Items: $19.95
Shipping & Handling: $7.98
------
Total for this Order: $27.93

Anyway... The question-
Since it comes out tommorow, will it literally ship tommorow, or will they wait a few days for no apparent reason like the good old people on ebay tend to like to do?

Im assuming with standard shipping it'll take a good ten days to arrive to Canada, but i can be patient...
If they leave it sitting there for a few days though it could just add onto my wait, which eventually would get a bit annoying.

Also to anyone from Ontario that orders from amazon.com-

roughly how much is it for the priority mail to Ontario? I wasnt sure what shipping method to select. If i were to select priority mail and the total price were to come out to even more then the price of best buy, futureshop, or wherever elese I would probably be a little annoyed.

Thanks everyone.

Hey, I ordered season 7 of the Trailer Park Boys from AMAZON.CA and I received it 3 days after it shipped standard delivery. It cost me $9.98 shipping though. I live in NorthEastern Ohio and it shipped from somewhere around Toronto. Can't remember exactly where though.

Wish I could get some TPB's on bluray!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh. I ordered from Amazon.com

I just assumed it would be alot more expensive on amazon.ca.

Just checked- It is more expensive (21.95). I just assumed it would be a good 30 bucks for the movie plus extra for shipping. everybody here that ive seen from Canada always orders from amazon.com because its cheaper in total...

Ha. Too late now.

It's not released in Canada until the 27th, so it will ship from the american warehouse, meaning it will take longer then usual. I ordered the Orphanage from amazon.com before it was released in Canada and paid for the expediated shipping which is 4-6 business days, and it took 6 days. They usually ship it the day before it is released, and unless they screwed up my order, you may be looking at 11 business days for standard shipping.

I usually get all my blu's from amazon.com and they always ship from Maryland. Mine have always been shipped on Monday and get them UPS the next day. I guess I should mention on new releases and I'm a PRIME member too. Still it didn't count on amazon.ca . It shipped standard and came through the mail. I would have got it on amazon.com but season 7 of the TRAILER PARK BOY'S isn't available here in the states. Yet anyways. I really don't think it will take too long unless it sits in customs.

No they will not wait. The international shipments are mailed on the released day or the next day. They are good at it. But amazon.com international standard shipping is not good. It could take 2 to 6 weeks to Australia for standard International. However, it shouldn't take more than few days to get to Canada.

I've orders a few items from Amazon.com now and shipping is very fast. Even though you have to pay for shipping to Canada it's still generally about 10 bucks +tax cheaper to order from Amazon.com

for pre-orders they tend to ship the day before but it would depend on supply and demand (i.e. they might run out and need to wait for a second shipment for you)

On the other hand (just some free advice) Amazon charges 7.98 for the first movie (4.99+2.99) and then 2.99 for the rest in the shipment. So it is to your advantage to wait and add several movies to one shipment then ordering them one by one.

PS the few times I used it has always been standard and grouped. (then again I always wait for a handful – my last buy that left yesterday because it had the NT 2pack and SC had “6” things – 7 movies because NT and NT2 count as one bundle)
