It's not released in Canada until the 27th, so it will ship from the american warehouse, meaning it will take longer then usual. I ordered the Orphanage from amazon.com before it was released in Canada and paid for the expediated shipping which is 4-6 business days, and it took 6 days. They usually ship it the day before it is released, and unless they screwed up my order, you may be looking at 11 business days for standard shipping.

No they will not wait. The international shipments are mailed on the released day or the next day. They are good at it. But amazon.com international standard shipping is not good. It could take 2 to 6 weeks to Australia for standard International. However, it shouldn't take more than few days to get to Canada.

I've orders a few items from Amazon.com now and shipping is very fast. Even though you have to pay for shipping to Canada it's still generally about 10 bucks +tax cheaper to order from Amazon.com

for pre-orders they tend to ship the day before but it would depend on supply and demand (i.e. they might run out and need to wait for a second shipment for you)

On the other hand (just some free advice) Amazon charges 7.98 for the first movie (4.99+2.99) and then 2.99 for the rest in the shipment. So it is to your advantage to wait and add several movies to one shipment then ordering them one by one.

PS the few times I used it has always been standard and grouped. (then again I always wait for a handful – my last buy that left yesterday because it had the NT 2pack and SC had “6” things – 7 movies because NT and NT2 count as one bundle)
