Cool "Jumper" found early

I was browsing the newly expanded blu-ray section at my local walmart and found a cart full of boxes of stock waiting to be put out. The top box was wide open and said "do not put out until Tuesday 10th" or something like that. There were 3 copies of "Jumper" sitting out next to the box in plain view with no price sticker. I grabbed a copy and went to the check out and it scanned and let me pay!

Anyway, no screenies yet, but I watched it last night and thought it was pretty good. Not the greatest, but entertaining and fun. Special effects were great. The PQ was top notch. Ofcourse being brand new helped. The back of the Fox blu-ray showed a high bit-rate of 35 or 36MBps..can't remember the exact number here at work now. Picture was very clean and consistent throughout.

Thought I'd let you guys know if anyone was on the fence about the movie its worth watching. I felt it was worth buying.

Thanks for the rundown. I really enjoyed this in the theater, and am psyched for the Blu release. Went out hunting for the early put out, but as usual, no such luck. I convince myself that every week may be the week I get stuff early, but alas, it never is.

I'm starting to think that the whole fine for breaking street date is an empty threat. Wal-Mart, on a regular basis, and to a lesser extent Best Buy, puts out Blu-rays early. I would think if they were losing money because of it they would have made their employees aware of what's going on.

Actually, I keep waiting for people to tell us how much it sucks and how there shouldnt be a thread about such a bad movie to begin with. You know, like the last Jumper thread.

Regardless, I can't wait to see it again on Blu.

My Wal-Mart has a great Blu selection, but couldn't find Signs today damnit. Picked up There Will Be Blood and Cloverfield to hold me over till I find it. Didn't see the Recruit either come to think of it.

how immoral is it to pick up a blu-ray laying out in plain view next to a bunch of boxed items, which are right next to the blu-ray section and then scan and pay for it at check-out?

Oh but wait...I don't care.

I'll post a pic when I get home from work of the blu-ray. Obviously I've been a member here for a while now and don't have a record of lying...so why start now?
