Question Anyone know if the Netflix box downloads HD movies?

http://netflix.mediaroom.com/index.php?s=43&item=272

I saw an article about the netflix box on my homepage and was wondering if anyone knows if it offers HD movies or just regular dvd quaility movies.

Just curious since it takes forever and a day to get quaility BD's shipped from Blockbuster.

No HD yet. It's good for watching B-movies you have no interest in buying, or TV series you want to catch up on. Supposedly 720p HD is coming, but who knows? Mine came on Tuesday and I've watched Beastmaster, Maniac Cop, Lifeforce and about 6-7 episodes of Voltron.

Hopefully old school 80's Voltron. Not any of that CG rip off Voltron from the mid-late 90's. In retrospect why did they "F" around w/the lions? They should have formed Voltron from the go and kicked some azz right away.

That's the only one I recognize.

That would have made for short episodes.

Someone needs to put a stop to the live action abomination that is getting ready to be made also.

I MORE then agree on the no live action abominations. I'm scared to death of the rumored Ghost in the Shell coming. I don't quite see how that will survive being live action. Some cartoons/anime just doesn't lend well to being live action, because it will end up being half CGI anyway.

Yeah, the one that has me actually losing sleep is Akira. To do it properly would take so much CGI the film would probably have to cost $2-$300M and I don't see anyone putting up that kind of money.
