Default ? about PS3 (and other BD players)

One of my old DVD players would "remember" the last 5 movies played so for example if you stopped watching movie A and then ejected and put in movie B and then stopped watching it and put in movie C and then stopped watching and put in movie A, it would start movie A from where you left off. The BD player I currently use doesn't remember anything after you eject the disc. How's the PS3 in this regard? (can it remember and if so how many discs does it remember?) And is this a rare feature among BD players?

Please tell me if you didn't understand my writing tia

The PS3 has a resume feature but it ONLY works with non-BD-Java titles. For BD-J titles, the resume feature is more elaborate as it uses a bookmark system; you can tag multiple bookmarks. NOT ALL BD-J titles use the bookmark system.

For DVDs, it's a straightforward affair as the PS3 will always remember where you left off. The info are stored in the PS3's harddrive so both bookmarks and resumes are there.

I don't know how many it will store to "resume" play but last night I put in I AM Legend and it resumed where I left off...at the end credits. The best part about this is that I haven't watched I AM Legend in over a month, and I have watched ALOT of other blu rays and dvd's during that month span. Hope this kind of gives you an idea.

How come not all BD-J titles use bookmarks? It seems like a studio should support it for their release. So it sounds like the PS3 is as good as any other BD-player in this regard. TY both for the info.
