Ever shopped at a PlayStation store? - Blu-ray Forum

I watched a movie today at Loes Metrion (Metreon?) in San Francisco, and remember when it first opened I used to go there at least once a week to check out whats what. I never once bought anything, but it you like PS, it was an awesome store just to walk around in...

Anyone ever been to one?

From the topic title I thought you were talking about the PS store. Cause I'm sure almost everybody who own a PS3 has been there already. But you're talking about a real life Playstation store? Such a place exist?

How come I didn't know about this. I know there's a Sony Store, but nothing about Playstation store.

I think the OP is talking about a Sony Style store, yes?

I've been in one before. It's... weird. It's like walking into Circuit City, but with only Sony products on the shelves.

Is sonystyle... hard to find in the states or something?
I live in a rather small city, and we have a sonystyle in the mall. Its always empty since its so overpriced.

Exactly! Nobody ever shops there... yet we have 2 in Victoria, BC, and Vancouver has LOTS, you'd think they can't afford to stay open

No, he's not talking about as Sony Styles store.. there is an actual Playstation store at the San Fransico Metreon that sells only playstation stuff (or at least it did last time I went in 2004.. ). Alas... I can't say I shopped there, but going in to play games was great. They had lots of game sampling stations.. and I if memory serves me right, you could ask them to put in a game that you were interested in buying so you could check it out.

I don't know if that's the only store though... because as I understand it came out of a land development deal that Sony was involved in which was meant to create some kind of mall/electronics-show-place. Sony ended up selling the Metreon to Westfield in 2006 though... so if the Playstation store was some sort of trial thing.. that may be the only one there is.. but I'm not 100% sure.

I go there all the time to browse, but I never buy anything there, too expensive.

ive always wanted to check a Metreon out but none around :/

(and yes The Sony Store guys are douches, i even had a regional manager call and yell at me because i filed a complaint to the head office of canada about his employee did he not think i'd file one against him too? sigh)

What about the old Playstation tour bus?! you guys remember that? is that still operational? i remember the first time it came to my city at the mall. i was so freakin' excited!

The doors opened up and the ramp came down...........................Playstation Heaven.

yup just look right below the truck like where it says Playstation Portal® Tour and just click on it same for the other one
