Default Hollywood.com lists thier top 10 action movies of all time:

source

Quote:
10. Goldfinger
9. Modern Times
8. Safety Last
7. Drunken Master 2
6. True Lies
5. King Kong (2005)
4. Shoot 'Em Up
3. The Rock
2. Die Hard
1. Raiders of the Lost Ark

Special Mention: The Matrix
While I don't agree with all of their list, some of them I do agree with. Click on the source link to see why they say they picked the movies they did.

Terrible list in my opinion. Shoot Em Up, I did like it but it does not belong in this list, nor does half of em. I mean honestly where is Hard Boiled.

I can agree with Raiders, Die Hard and True Lies. Maybe Drunken Master. But I haven't seen all of them on the list.

You could name most any gunfight movie from the past 20 years that was made in China and I would probably agree with you.

WOW! Worst list i've ever seen with the exception of True Lies IMO. Shoot 'em Up "is" the worst movie I've ever seen, I almost gouged my eyes out after that one.

You obviously no nothing about film...Any real film fan would know...[Insert name of movie not Roland's list] is much better than Ronin...[Insert name of obscure foreign action title] is much better than Die Hard...Also Arnold Swartzenhoweveryouspellit is in Predator so it is lame political bull movie

I tried...

Roland-good list actually. I could enjoy a pizza and sixer with those movies. I would switch Die Hard and Predator and maybe reconsider a few others per my individual tastes. But I still enjoy yours.

I do not agree with Hollywood.com's list at all.

Following is the 50 top rated action films: http://www.imdb.com/chart/action

My favorites from the list (no particular order):
1. Sin City
2. The Bourne Ultimatum
3. The Incredibles
4. Léon
5. Braveheart
6. Gladiator
7. Kill Bill
8. Iron Man
9. The Matrix
10. Star Wars and LoTR

Actually, many of these are my favorite films regardless of classification. The bad news is non are on BD so far and only one (Kill Bill) is scheduled for release this year.
