Bought my player ... finally (yay) - Blu-ray Forum

Well, I've been collecting Blu-ray movies for months and I finally broke down and bought a player. I went with the Sammy (BDP1000) because I found one slightly used in "Like New" condition on ebay. I ended up paying a total of $425 with shipping... not too bad.

It should be here Monday or Tuesday. I can't wait.

yea jedi i hope you get yours soon. i ordered mine (same player bd-p1000) from amazon last week on wednesday at the price of $600 brand new and i've bought 12 great titles so far and plan on buying 4 more this week. but the problem for me is that i hada send a money order because i'm 17 years old and my parents said that they werent gonna use a credit card on a 600 dollar product. i sent the money order last friday and it still hasnt been shipped. but yeah enjoy it and tell us what you think of the player and the blu-ray software itself when you get it

jedisinclair, when you get it, check to see if it has the latest firmware too for best PQ

I paid 400 plus 25 shipping. Then, my mom said she's buying me the Sony, so I sold the Sammy... now, I'm debating on the Sony or waiting for the Samsung BDP1200 ...
