I had long wait for Crank, but it shipped as soon as I returned the previous movie.

They obviously don't buy as many HD discs as SD. I have some short/long wait for BD. Right now I'm sure to mix up BD and DVD, and if somethign says "wait", I push it down my queue until its available.

Thanks for the list... I didn't know Planet of the Apes was coming out. I use block buster total access, and the prestige and stranger than fiction are not available yet for blu-ray

For Blockbuster, if your first 3 movies in your queue aren't available, and your 4th movie is, do they send the one that's available (the 4th one) or wait until one of your first 3 are available?

Is there a message board somewhere that you can talk "strategy" for Blockbuster Total Access.

Thanks

I was discouraged at first because I saw all of the short waits but magically each time my previous movie is returned, I got one of these same day. I have already received:
Crank
House of Flying Daggers
Ice Age 2
MI3
Employee of the Month
Underworld Evolution
XMEN 3

I received these immediately. It is like the short wait is there to convince you to rent other movies. But if you don't, and don't receive these, they know you will cancel. Mind Game.

most of my blurays on netflix also say long wait, but i always get them (top of queue first) as soon as i return my previous movies...i've never waited more than 1 day to get a movie regardless what it says in the queue.

netflix has a lottery thing..........easiest way to explain it......
say netflix sends me out a hd-dvd/blu-ray today (feb 10) and i get the blu-ray/hd-dvd on the 11th, now here's where the lottery come into play.....
say you send the movie back in the mail that day after you watched it, the postoffice sends it back the 12th and netflix recieves it on the 13th and then they send out another movie........if you do this everytime you get a movie weather dvd,hd-dvd,bluray 95% of your movies on your list, new or old, will be "avalible now" b/c netflix see's that your turn around time is 1 day. NOW, say its the other way around.......you get the movie on the 11th and dont send the movie back until the 16th or 19th then your in a diff. lottery, then every new release or high demand movie, weather dvd-hd-dvd-or blu-ray will be either short wait, long wait or very long wait. hopefully that answers your question and explains netflix.

Netflix is a laggard when it comes to new technology. Get with the times bro...aren't you an industry leader?
