http://www.businessweek.com/ap/finan.../D8TU6VQ80.htm Basically the it's a fixed monthly rate, depending on how many movies you order similar to their mail/rental program. IF this takes off, we might see the end of Brick and Mortar rental stores. Or at least, a strong decline. My opinion, FWIW...is this could really take off. You watch movies, and decide if you like them, you can still buy them on Blu-Ray. (or standard DVD). Frankly, I prefer buying movies, as my time is more limited for movie watching. That's why Netflix doesn't work for me now. I just don't have time to watch 10-12 movies per month. Some months, I can barely watch 2. At least with my discs, when I have time...I can watch one..right then. Not wait for mail delivery. Of course, if this Netflix plan takes off, I could probably do the same. But if it's not in HD..why bother? |
