Default I had a problem with my PS3

Hi I was wondering if anyone had picture problems with there PS3? I was watching the Blu-Ray disc of We Where Soldiers and I notise the picture looked a little funky, such as Mel and other actors had like a sunburn look.At first I thought it was the disc itself, and then I put Flyboys in and that looked screwed up too,and then I thought it was my TV.I swiched over to my Samsung Blu-Ray and every thing looked fine,so I figured it was the PS3.So I turn the PS3 off for a while. Then later I fired the PS3 back up and this time everything looked fine. The Sunburn look on peoples skin was gone.Strange.I was wondering if any one else had the same problem? Was it my TV or the PS3? Have my PS3 hooked to a Samsung LCD TV.

It could have been that your ps3 just needed a reboot to refresh everthing, but that is just my guess. There could be other people with this problem, but none that i heard of so far.

I've had a little quirk show up recently:

Certain discs get put in and start buzzing/vibrating quite loudly. Performance is normal and it almost goes away when the actual movie starts, but it's the kind of sound that mildy concerns me.

Anyone else seen or heard this?

Yeah, if it's any kind of real problem, I suspect I'll see it deteroriate and I'll certainly be taking action before the warranty runs out.

Its rare and usually goes away for good after somthing like that happens. Its where the PS3 is basically sorting its colours out, fixing them so it shows you the right picture. It could be that. I only know this because my ps2 did the same thing with DVD's. It only did it once, exactly as you described, and i turned it off and it was fine again. I told the people in a sony shop about it, just incase, and they just said exactly what I told you. If it happens again, I would ask sony about it, but it seems no one else has this problem so far. They told me it only happens in about 5% of the PS2s but it mite be different with a PS3.

Just don't worry too much for the time being.
