Emily Rose picture.. Is it supposed to be dark and blurry?? - Blu-ray Forum

they say the picture quality is top notch but i dont see it?? Is the movie supposed to be dark faded? I had to put my tv to high lighting and backlight all the way up lol

I watched it last night and the PQ was incredible. I loved the story too!

Is your display calibrated correctly? The Exorcism of Emily Rose BD looks excellent with great black levels. You may not be passing blacker than black information to your display. Go to the HDTV discussion forum for more answers if that is your problem.

Sounds like a problem with your setup. It looked amazing on my TV.

It didn't look that great on my TV (the darker scenes) but I already know there's an issue with my TV. Even having guys out here Monday to install a new mother board (which probably wont help). But I did think the picture was very film like and looked pretty good for the most part (aside from my TV issues).

I loved this film in theaters and have it on DVD, but haven't gotten the Blu yet. I'll hold off for a while. It's a great courtroom drama, and i like how it presents the issue of religionvs.science without ever telling you if she was truly possessed. It lets the viewer come to his own decision.

Yeah this sounds to me like either a calibration problem or the TV you have just doesn't do black levels that well. You definitely should not have to turn up the backlighting on an LCD like that.

np on my panny plasma, sure some scenes are dark as they are suppose to be, but over-all pretty good pq. Though plasma not LCD.
