Question about my 5.1 setup - Blu-ray Forum

i have a sony str dg820, a klipsch sub 12, klipsch quintet III 5 speaker system, and a ps3. its all hooked up with hdmi from the ps3 to the reciever to the tv. now how can i get true hd and all that good maser hd sound i read in my manual for the reciever that you cannot get true hd audio with 5.1 and what are the proper settings i should use for everything. any suggestions, anyone using 5.1 surround and getting true hd sound

Since your ps3 decodes these codecs for you, just set your PS3 to Linear PCM and you should be all set. And yes it will work with your 5.1 setup.
