Default Van Helsing

I was just going though my old DVD collection when I saw Van Helsing. I remembered that it had come out on HD DVD but I was wondering of anybody had heard anything about a possible jump to Blu-ray?

Let them push, let them push.

The more time Universal spends on their movies, the better.

Holy cow they do a good job!!!

This was actually the first HD DVD that made me go "uh oh, there seems to be a pretty big problem here" when it wouldn't play after the first 30 minutes. I still don't think my HD-A1 ever made it through the movie entirely without screwing up.

So I am all for it being on Blu! Plus the sound is pretty good (love how loud and powerful the score is!)

It never ceases to amaze me how excited some people get over a crap movie coming to Blu-Ray. Even more sad is those same people likely already have said crap movie on DVD and will shell out another $50 for it on Blu regardless.

dude, get over yourself, one persons crap is another person's treasure. I personally loathe Shawshank Redemption as one of the most crappy movies i've ever seen. I laughed my way through it. Now I can get murdered for that , but it's my taste, just as it's his taste to like Van Helsing. If we all liked the movies that only one person liked this place would be a boring place.

Hmmm a 22% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, methinks most people agree it's crap.

What possible redeeming quality do you think this garbage has? And 'Kate Beckinsale is hot' doesn't count.

Alan Silvestri's score for one. The work that went into the sound. The grand popcorny feel of the movie. The humor.

Just because it got 22% on rotten tomatoes and you didn't like it doesn't mean everyone has to not like it. I liked Gigli. Does that mean I have poor taste in movies? Probably to some people. Does that stop me from liking the movie? Nope. Because at least I got a little joy out of the flick. It seems wrong to try to put down someone's choice in movies just because you didn't like it. Why not just let people enjoy it? It's not hurting anyone...

Yea, I didnt find it to be a horrible movie at all. I actually really liked it. Its an exciting popcorn flick. There are so many movies on here that people love that I think was horrible. But everyone has their own opinions, and just cause some people think its bad doesn't mean it shouldnt make its way to blu...i can name countless blu's that I think shouldn't have made it,but they did and someone appreciates them on blu

I would like this one on Blu. I have the HD DVD and the PQ/AQ are pretty good. You would think they would have releases this in time for Halloween.

I want Van Helsing on BD so bad. It is one of my favorites -- too bad they didn't get it out in time for this Halloween season. Maybe next year.

Well I am sure you and Crim just can't wait for broke back mountain to come out on Bluray. Since you are the sophisticated and overly sensitive type.

Another title that I would love to have is Gladiator. That is one of my all time favorites!
